Anime Reviews:

Plastic Little

(1992)

Available in two sleeves in the UK, raunchy and tame, I imagine depending on whether or not you've got to sneak it past parents whi might disapprove of a multi-teenaged-nippled cover. The contents are the same in both, a space-operatic comedy, similar to Gunbuster in style, characters and, er, fondness for beautifully-animated breasts. No opportunity is wasted for bouncing, jiggling and so forth, perhaps in a cunning attempt to take your mind off the plot, which involves weapons of mass destruction, bad guys, and an orphaned girl with... sigh... large breasts. But it's all done in the best possible taste: the cleavage (what else could one call 'the gap between breasts'?) is filled up with chase scenes, top-notch overacting, and some truly outrageous pseudo-science of the "It's a million-to-one chance, but it just might work" school. Let's call it a sly parody, give them a slap on the wrist and tell them not to do it again.
