Written by Kazuki Omori who directed its predecessor, Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, this second modern Godzilla movie is a superb updating of, and possibly even superior to, the 1964 original. A wonderfully recreated Mothra joins forces with the big 'G' to battle nasty monster Battra. The cast discover the last two survivors of an ancient race, the Cosmos, whose duty is to protect Earth. Highlight is a haunting song (left in the original Japanese language in the UK Manga Video release) sung by the Cosmos to control Mothra. Outrageous, city-stomping entertainment. More please. Altogther now, "Mo-su-ra, Mo-su-ra".
